Before the price of barn steel rises soon, we decided to take the plunge and put up another small barn across the creek for our boys. We elected to go with National Barn Company again, and we were not disappointed. Every phase of the delivery and construction happened as promised. Dave Nisely and his crew from Holmes County, Ohio showed up one morning in the snow and below freezing temperatures, and had our 30 X 48 barn constructed by lunch time the next day.
We hope to have the pasture across the creek fairly well established by the fall. Then all we have left is pasture fencing for those three acres--alas no inexpensive feat, as many of you know--and we will have completed our infrastructure projects. We'll have ourselves a very nice and easy to work small alpaca farm!
On those inevitable down days, I look around at how our property has been transformed in the last 2 and a half years, and in the midst of family health difficulties and traumas, and I can't help but feel proud of my family. We stayed the course in tough times and worked together. Now that's satisfying!
